Designing Ideas

After working in a corporate environment for almost 20 years, I decided to open my own business so I could provide my clients with the individual attention they deserve.

I now accept only a limited number of clients so I can devote the time necessary to better understand their needs and tastes. I take the time to personally meet with each client at the jobsite so we may review together the entire environment, as well as the project’s scope
and budget.

Education

University of Tennessee at Knoxville

Bachelor of Science in Professional Interior Design: (1978)

Licensed

State of Tennessee Interior Design License: (1987-Present)

More about me ...

Before opening my own firm in 1995, I worked primarily on large commercial projects - including my job as Senior Designer for Knoxville’s City-County Building. Since the inception of my own business, I have worked on commercial and residential projects ranging from thousands of square feet to remodeling a kitchen or bathroom. I enjoy projects of all sizes!

Interior design is more than simply selecting carpets, fabrics, window coverings, and furnishings. It is creating an integrated environment that is both functional and attractive. I work to create timeless interiors from traditional to contemporary and all styles in between. I am proud to be licensed as an Interior Designer by the State of Tennessee and believe you should pay only for my time and skill. Accordingly, I pass along any discount I receive from a supplier.

Mission statement

I am also dedicated to fostering the understanding of art in all media, cultures, and time periods. I promote education, enrichment, and exposure to the art world and am able to offer my clients the ability to purchase fine works of art at deep discounts due to my relationship with art galleries all over the world.

Goal

My goal is to first understand your project goals and dreams, and then carry out the design process until the desired effect is achieved. I look forward to working with you to create a beautiful environment embracing your style through my product knowledge and imagination.
